Do I need a finished brief?
No. A few lines about what you need or what is not working today are enough to start.
What should I include in the first message?
Ideally what you want to achieve, what exists today and whether you have a preferred timeline or budget. If you do not know everything yet, that is fine.
Can we start with a small task?
Yes. If the project suits it, we can start with a defined task, sketch or direction before a larger engagement.
When will I get a reply?
I reply as soon as I can. If the message is about a project, I also say early if my availability or your timing does not match.
